kindness from an unlikely source
This is an additional testimony to the wonderful faculty and staff here at MC. I came to school from home very late Sunday night. I had an exhausting day with early church service and trying to meet deadlines on all my assignments. Also, I was busy preparing for as spanish test the next day. Needless to say, my mind was pretty occupied. I made it to school with the world on my shoulders and with fatigue overtaking my body. I had a early appointment with a bone specialist the next morning and I began to worry if I would be able to survive the week if it continued on to be so insanely hectic. I stayed up until about one o'clock putting the final touches on my English paper due the next morning to to make it just right. I went to bed feeling relieved that I had gotten that over with and dreaded waking up to great the early light of day. However, that came sooner than I had realized. At 2:30 that morning I received a call from a security guard asking me to confirm the kind of car I had. I immediately panicked at the thought of being arrested or my car being towed for some odd reason. After continuing in the conversation, he informed me that my dome lights were on and he was not sure how long they had been that way. I kindly thanked him for his call and began to dress for the walk to my car. I was very surprised to see him waiting in front of my car to make sure the battery had not died. After turning on the engine and seeing that everything was okay, I began to head back to my room. I thanked him again and apologized for any trouble that this may have cause. He assured me that it had caused none and that he was only too happy to help. Although this definately disturbed my much needed sleep, I can now sleep better knowing that there are such caring security guards like Mr. Mike (I do believe that was his name, then again it was about 2:40 in the morning) and that they are looking out for the students.
