2008 Follies
Yesterday I was able to witness how MC promotes the social development of its students and encourages them to utilize their skills, talents and abilities while pursuing meaningful careers, life-long learning, and service to God and others. The production put on by the social tribes and service clubs was a great testament to this. Their hard work and dedication as they each played a part in making this years follies a huge success. They danced, acted and performed in such a way that had the whole house rocking with laughter. It was very obvious how much effort each group put into their skits. Although everyone might not have been an excellent dancer or actor, they learned and practiced enough that everything seemed to flow. Yesterday they were able to showcase all of their skills and unhidden talents in this fabulous production. The girls were glamourous and fabulous as they promoted their tribes and showed their true personalities. The boys were hilariously good. Some even dug deep to past their inner masculinity to find their "soft" side. It was really a sight to see. No matter what everyone's talent was, they all came together to create a "masterpiece." Each person, whether they were on or off stage played a giant role in the program's great outcome. From working behind the scenes and curtains to working on the sound and videos, it took the efforts of everyone. This is one of the first of many fantastic productions at MC that I have been able to witness. I am looking forward to seeing what is to come. The sky is truly the limit at Mississippi College, with everyone together, there is no limit to what we can accomplish and discover in the process.
